About Case Western Reserve University

Case Western Reserve University is a private research university established in 1826 and located in Cleveland, Ohio. The university leads the Center of Excellence and is the only independent, research-oriented university in a region bounded by Pittsburgh and Rochester on the east, Nashville on the south, and Chicago on the west. Case Western Reserve holds membership in the Association of American Universities and is fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission since 1913 as well as several nationally recognized professional accrediting associations. The university enrolls 5,792 undergraduates, 6,277 graduate and professional students, and employs 1,099 full-time faculty.

Case Western Reserve brings decades of materials science research and High Performance Computing-integrated data science environments. Through integrated core facilities such as the SDLE Research Center, CWRU leverages an expansive research portfolio focused on the durability and degradation of environmentally exposed, long-lived materials and technologies, as well as complex data-driven modeling, including geostatistical, geospatiotemporal modeling, graph neural network modeling, and degradation network models. The data analytics platform (CRADLE), an integrated distributed and high performance computing cluster, was developed to facilitate large data storage, improved and faster analysis, and ease of access to HPC solutions for team members.
